Adoption Process
We will email you when we receive your application. In the days to follow, we will be checking on your vet/personal references.
If everything checks out, we will contact you to set up a time when you can meet the pet if you haven't already.
If you are still interested and we think it will be a good fit, we will set up a home visit. In a home visit, one of our volunteers will bring the pet to your home to see how it interacts with you and/or your other family members and pets.
If we feel that your family would be a good fit for that pet, we would then set up a day to do the adoption.

Some tips on completing the adoption application:
- We ask for the names and numbers of three personal references, so please let your references know in advance that we will be calling.
- We ask for the name and number of your veterinarian if you have existing pets, so please let your vet know in advance that we will be calling for a reference check.
- We ask for the name and number of your landlord (if applicable), so please let your landlord know in advance that we will be calling for a reference check.
